This policy describes what we collect, why, and your choices. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the Service, we never sell your data, and we do not run ads or third-party trackers.
Account. Your email address and sign-in records, held in AWS Cognito. We never see or store your password.
Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and Stripe customer reference only - card numbers never touch our servers.
Usage events. When you preview or download terrain we record the event with approximate coordinates of the location you generated (used for the popular-locations map and service statistics), and standard server logs (IP address, user agent) kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.
Feedback and email list. Messages you send through the feedback tool, and your email if you join release updates. Every release email includes an unsubscribe link.
No advertising, no selling or renting personal data, no third-party analytics or tracking pixels. Cookies and browser storage are used only to keep you signed in and to remember the staging gate for our own testers.
Account data is kept while your account exists. Event logs are aggregated for statistics; raw entries are pruned periodically. Feedback is kept as part of our build history.
Email admin@getthefactory.com to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Deleting your account cancels billing and removes personal data not required for accounting or legal obligations.
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
